I'm Abdul Hai Khan. I build websites and web platforms for businesses that are tired of waiting three days for an email back. Four years in, my work has covered hotel booking systems in London, an online Quran academy, and an e-commerce store selling batteries across Pakistan.
Started with a broken contact form
My first paid job was fixing a contact form that had been silently dropping enquiries for months. That's still how I think about development: the flashy part is the design, but the money is in the details that quietly work or quietly don't.
First real platform — oQuran Academy
Moving from websites to a full learning platform meant learning scheduling logic, user roles and payment gateways properly. Students book classes, teachers manage timetables, payments clear automatically. It's been running and evolving since May 2022.
E-commerce, and going back to study
Built a WooCommerce storefront for Power Pack Pakistan while enrolling at the National Institute of Arts & Management Science. Product catalogue, custom theme, secure checkout, inventory — and a client team that could run it without me.
Fully custom, no CMS — Crescent Hyde Park
A London hotel needed a booking site that wasn't held together by six plugins. I built it in raw PHP from Figma designs, with a custom room booking engine, and handled the client relationship directly from kickoff through to post-launch support.
Building at We Starter
Today I work across web development, design, e-commerce and custom platforms — often as the only developer a small business has. That means writing code someone else can pick up later, and explaining decisions in plain language instead of jargon.
Fixed scope, fixed price
You get the full scope and cost before we start. If something new comes up mid-project, I quote it separately — no surprise invoices at handover.
You talk to the developer
No account manager relaying messages. The person answering your question is the person writing the code, so nothing gets lost in translation.
Speed is a feature
Every build is optimised for load time and mobile first. A beautiful site that takes six seconds to appear has already lost most of its visitors.
You own everything
Code, hosting access, database, design files. At handover it's all yours, with documentation, so you're never locked into working with me again.
